In today's (Thurs 28 Nov) Brisbane Courier-Mail, it says:

Potter Collectors Storm The Castle
Lego Australia has sold out of its most popular Harry Potter line a month
before Christmas with stocks unlikely to be replenished before March. It is
believed thousands of Lego kits depicting Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry have been imported to Australia, but Lego, along with major
department stores and toy retailers in Brisbane, said yesterday it had been
unable to cope with demand. Only a handful of the Lego sets remain in
Brisbane retailing at between $150 and $200. The Hogwarts Castle has emerged
as the most popular of eight Harry Potter Lego items, but disappointed
parents can still buy the Sorting Hat, the Mirror of Erised, Professor
Snape's classrooom, Hagrid's Hut and the Forbidden Corridor. Lego would not
for commercial reasons reveal how many sets were imported or whether the
castle was its biggest selling line. A spokeswoman did however confirm its
warehouses were empty.

Interesting...This may cause a slight amount of difficulty to target next week.

Starting Saturday:
Hogwarts express $79.95, save $20
Sorting hat $9.95, save $2
Winged keys room $29.95, save $10

Others lego also on sale, but no blanket x% off, so probably only sets
listed in catalogue are on sale. [I'll post more if anyone is interested.]

(...) week. Well, I just passed through Myer Queen Street, and while there were no Hogwarts Castles to be seen, there seemed to be plenty of all the other HP Lego sets. So it really may just be the castles that have sold out. Kerry (23 years ago, 30-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.harrypotter)
