Sorry for the delayed reply-

In lugnet.loc.au, Dave Low writes:
Worse in what way Shiri? Less grammatical, or just more idiomatic?

Less grammatical, more accenting, saying a lot more "ain't"s and
non-existent words (which is Chris's fault - no one does that around Baw-ston).

There's a good chance I'll be spending five or more years in the US and I'm
_really_ not looking forward to an American accent. My friends want to tape my
voice now to hear how it changes after six months, then a year, two years etc >in Florida.

Let me assure you, it'll change. I think that I now have a twinge of
American accent on my hebrew, which I *never* had before (even though I
spent three years here as a kid).

<snip Aus vs. Oz stuff>

Well, I really don't know too much about that - I only first encountered the
"Oz" nickname on lugnet.

What about your name and surname Shiri? And how do you mispronounce "Low" when
you say it out loud?

Mine is Shee-ree (rhymes with teary) Doar-ee (rhymes with... uhh... boring
without the ng. ;-). And for some reason, I say "Lau" instead of plain "Low"
(as in the opposite of high?).
