I managed to pick up the 7180 B-Wing set last night at Target Parramatta for
$67.50. The B-Wing is lame compared to Eric Kingsley's one (the cockpit isn't
even central to the long axis of the ship in the "attack" formation) but the
base is cool, particularly the sliding doors. Must try to incorporate that
concept in some of my MOC's. Overall a great parts set, and easy to modify
(perhaps that's what they mean in the set description at lego.com).
They had the other sets on offer for 25% off. I guess the other Targets around
the country will stock their shelves with 2000 stuff before the sale ends
tomorrow. Here's hoping. Better to buy the more expensive sets as you realise
more of a cash discount than the less expensive sets ($22 for 7180 means that
I could have bought 7124 as well and the total would still be less than the
RRP for 7180, but I have a birthday tomorrow. Let's not be too greedy (but
it's LEGO, I hear you cry)).

| (...) SW2000 went on the shelves at Grace Bros yesterday afternoon -- Target might have them tomorrow. I think this sale is best for those sets that are unlikely to still be around post-GST. Target Chatswood has Temple of Anubis, a fair bit of Ninja (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
