  Re: Who is behind this?

(...) I'm fairly sure I saw an announcement/advert about au.com a few months ago. If I recall correctly it is an Australian company who wanted to provide "the next best thing" to com.au addresses to those that didn't qualify. To get a .com.au (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Who is behind this?

Ah, that announcement got my hopes up briefly. For some reason my mind registered it as au.lego.com rather than lego.au.com, I was vaguely wondering why we'd got a locational name for Lego shop at home when no-one else had, only to be hit with a (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Who is behind this?

(...) I don't know who it is, but I can see it ending in a brief crunchy squeak. To quote from the site "The Lego Group does not sponsor or endorse this site in any way. This site is privately owned and operated within Australia." Despite this they (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Latest update from LEGO Direct

(...) Yeah. Having lived in Tassie till about a year ago I know what you mean (though I was still in my "dark age" back then). BTW if you actually want silver champions or power pullers, dont hesitate to ask. TRU in Melb seem to have a lot of SCs (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Latest update from LEGO Direct

(...) Hear hear... It would be nice to be kept informed of what progress is being made in this area, as happened at the start when the announcement of this happening was made, and followed up with 'updates' occasionally...all we know in Aus is that (...)   Re: Latest update from LEGO Direct

(Crossposting to loc.au) (...) Last I heard they were talking about the second half of 2001. Are we really going to have to wait that long? Any indication from Jake or his colleagues would be greatly appreciated (please?!!) (Non) availability must (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.loc.au)
