Saturday, May 6th at 5:30 p.m. is when the registration desk opens--someone (porbably me :) ) will be in line to register us and get our nametags. At 6 p.m. the doors open and we're allowed to enter the building and start setting up. Set-up goes (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: A show of hands please...

(...) We lived across the street from Sabino Canyon from '84-'91. I came out of my dark ages around '86. Some day we'll be back, although on the OTHER side of the Catalinas, near Oracle. The next time we are in Tucson, I will post a "heads up":-) (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.loc.us.az.tuc, FTX)

Re: New Arizona Resident and Builder

(...) Hi, guys! Although I'm still in Minnesota, eventually we are going to end up in Arizona (recently purchased property north of Tucson). It may take 5 years or so, but that's the plan! Until then I will be with you guys in spirit:-) JOHN (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.loc.us.az, FTX)

Re: A show of hands please...

(...) I'm WAY south of Maricopa County. Cochise in fact. But if you're having a get-together, I'll drive to Tucson, no prob. I think only Alaska has a lower AFOL per square mile ratio than Arizona. Aaron (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.loc.us.az.tuc)

Re: New Arizona Resident and Builder

(...) Nate! Now I'm in Arizona too! Unfortunately, I'm way down in Sierra Vista, so I'm hardly any closer to you than I was in San Diego. But if we can find some Tucson ALEs, we might have a central gathering location. Hope we can pull some closet (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.loc.us.az, FTX)

Re: Newswatch: Fifth Legoland Park in Kansas City area in 2009

(...) The glory of fast-passes fix that for the more popular rides such as SM ;) But the rides at LLCA move slowww...www. They have very low per-hour capacity that brings everything to a very slow crawl. And it is only worse when LLCA cuts down on (...)   Re: Newswatch: Fifth Legoland Park in Kansas City area in 2009

(...) Standing in line is not my idea of a fun vacation - especially with short attention span 4-12 year olds. If Legoland purposely cuts off attendance each day to insure small lines, charge a high gate fee, and can still make a profit, I think (...)   Re: Newswatch: Fifth Legoland Park in Kansas City area in 2009

I think that a better spot in the midwest would be near the major population centers. That would be near the Great Lakes. I think an ideal location would be near Cedar Pointe Amusement Park near Sandusky Ohio on Lake Erie. It would be within a few (...)   Re: Newswatch: Fifth Legoland Park in Kansas City area in 2009

(...) I think there is a good chance for it to succeed in the Kansas City area. If your target attendance is 1.4M a year (which the other 4 Legoland parks average), that is well within the realm of reason if you include everything within a day's (...)   Re: Newswatch: Fifth Legoland Park in Kansas City area in 2009

(crossposting to .legoland) (...) To re-state what I posted on BL: I think these "tourism experts" need to find new jobs lol. LLCA has trouble getting people from as close as LA and SD to go to the park. The only reason out of towners go there is (...)   Newswatch: Fifth Legoland Park in Kansas City area in 2009

Exciting news for residents of the midwest United States! I read this in the 4/28/2006 Kansas City Star. "Joco" is the local shorthand for Johnson County KS: a very well-to-do, family oriented suburb on the western side of Kansas City,MO with (...)   Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds

(...) I asked for an electrical drop and I asked that the train layout and the display be side by side. I'll check with Doug on that one. Dave K x-forwarded to appropriate groups and taking it outta Space! (18 years ago, 27-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My Train Collection

(...) Another option if you can't make it to BV yourself, is to ask another Sydney attendee if they have room to bring them down. As Teunis said, we'd be happy to run them[1] even if you aren't there. Failing that, feel free to pack them tightly and (...) (18 years ago, 24-Apr-06, to lugnet.loc.au)
