| (...) John - There are some passenger vehicles in the subway section under Grand Central Station that have a bit better proportions. | (...) Yes, the vast majority of the engine is non-LEGO. The LEGO body is actually like a shell which simply lifts off, leaving the non LEGO parts (frame, wheels, battery, etc). | Todd, during my first trip to LEGOLAND CA, I got a 3-hour tour of the backroom, model shop, and animatronics control room. I picked up several models either displayed throughout the park or featured in the DK book. This was over a year ago so my (...) | Hi All- As a follow up to my trip report, here's a few pictures to go along with it... The Safari Trek ride is a bunch of Zebra painted Jeeps with false steering wheels. The Jeeps follow a predetermined path along a center guide rail through cool (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Since LEGOLAND employs Model Citizens, akin to Wal-Mart Associates, I referred to the good natured woman at the entrance gate to the parking lot as an MC. | Hi All, Wow - we recently returned from our most excellent California vacation, and the cold and snow of Western New York is a bit of a shock once again.
