Re: Kidvention still running? —Tim Courtney
(...) Nope. All prototypes. That was meaning that what you saw there was _not_ guaranteed to make production. They even had a technic car with spraypainted yellow panels, because those pieces weren't made in yellow (even internally!). -Tim (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.legoland)

Re: Kidvention still running? —Tim Courtney
(...) I really have no idea. I'm not much of a Throwbot fan, so I didn't pay that much attention. I was busier talking to the Technic model designers. -Tim (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.legoland)

(...) The "much" part. I was just asking incase it had a big sign on it or was moving around like crazy. Why couldn't you take pictures of the movie maker? It was on lego.com??? (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.legoland)

Re: Kidvention still running? —Tim Courtney
(...) I don't know why you 'couldn't' if in fact that was the case. But I do know that I didn't, cause I barely got the opportunity to take pictures while I was there. I took about 90 of them up by our display, but about half of them I gave the (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.legoland)

Re: Kidvention still running? —Terry Keller
(...) Nick, much of the throwbots prototype stuff was not even made of ABS. It was just a plasticene mockup of possible designs or directions to take the line. Or perhaps even an entirely different line. And most were very crude. Practically molded (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.legoland)

Re: Kidvention still running? —Dave Johann
Actually, those mock-ups weren't described to me as Throwbots in any way shape of form. They looked incredible, especially the larger ones. In terms of size, they were taller than Millennia and wider too. Few (if any) Throwbot parts were evident in (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.legoland)
