Lawrence, I stayed at the Residence Inn in Carlsbad in April of 2001. I was with my family, including 2 boys ages 7 and 9, and I was pretty happy with this location. The hotel is only a few years old, all the rooms are suites and have kitchens, and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

(...) If money is no object, the Grand Palisades is nice. I didn't go in any of the rooms though. But it is walking distance to the park - just across the street. Coming to california this summer. Just booked the flights to San Diego Any hotel recommendations for San Diego and Carlsbad or surrounding area.
