Re: FBTB Coverage of Galactic Challenge Event

The models and the features the kids put on them were wonderful. Everyone there should be very proud. (Go Hungary! Whoo Hoo!) I have to say, though, I am very disappointed in the building materials they were given. Think a minute: you assemble the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.legoland)

FBTB Coverage of Galactic Challenge Event

Hey! Tim Saupe -- From Bricks to Bothans -- asked me to post some information on coverage they're doing of the Galactic Challenge contest that was held on Friday. Here's the link: (URL) winners were David Michon (US) in the 5-10 age category, and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.legoland) !

Re: Anyone going to the Galactic Challenge?

(...) Same day I met you... opening day at LLC in 1999. I said it before but it bears repeating, I think the Michons are very nice people and good builders and true LegoManiacs, I just think it's funky that they consistently win. It's an unexpected (...)   Re: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

(...) Sorry, I can't find the original post, but apparently the "production line" just swaps the unpainted and painted pieces. IT'S A FAKE!! Who would have thought LEGO could be guilty of such duplicity... --Dave L (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.legoland.california)

RE: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

(...) Probably a stupid question...but which set would require these parts with the logo? [or is a new set going to use it? ] After all, I can hardly see them producing a large number of parts, printing on them, and then not using them... Just my (...)   Re: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

(...) I'd take a stab that that is actually the "LEGO Factory Tour" in Funtown at LLC. Or at least, it looks an awful lot like it. :) There is also a mold machine pumping out 2x4 red bricks (at the time) and an assembly line machine that made & took (...)
