  Re: Sept/Oct LEGO Magazine

Jake, I think it is disappointing and a bit sad that Lego would reply to letters from children in such a manner. In your post you mentioned this - (...) ask (...) (...) To tack on a few thoughts to this discussion, I would like to add that these sets were much more time consuming to get a hold of than standard retail assortment sets. Because we had so many requests for these sets, we went out of our way to (...) (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Trains arrive at Target in SoCal

Jake, I'm really pleased to see these sets offered at retail. However I am a little disappointed that the blue passenger coach is only available with 4534 as I have already purchased several My Own Train engines and cars through Lego Direct. So I (...)   Re: UCS Imperial Star Destroyer to be released!!!! (was Re: Newest UCS set...)

I think we can safely call the UCS ISD the NEW "Ultimate Grey Plates Parts Pack" (UGPPP - yeehaw, Yet Another Acronym) ;-) I know I'm going to end up with at least 2, maybe 3 UGPPPs, as a start.   Super Chief set not ready for prime-time

In lugnet.trains, Mike Case writes: ... (...) The Super Chief locomotive and cars are absolutely beautiful. I've bought 15 sets so far, and I could see buying more. Things aren't uniform in the EU either. The differences are seen too at the lower end of things. We have in shop.lego.com, for example, HP-#4931 dobby's release... The fact that much of the newer offerings can only really be had via S@H and that these sets contain no real new parts makes me wonder what the long term plans for trains (...)
