RE: bulk ordering is (not) here! (was - Re: bulk ordering is her e! )

(...) And what about places like Australia, where the sets cost considerably more than the cost of having them sent airmail from the US..or even UK? I'm personally hoping that LD decide on a global price for the items, and then add postage to this, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Bulk Sales in the 21st Century

(...) Absolutely. TLC makes money whether we buy bricks or sets, either from retailers or directly from TLC. The question becomes the number of middlemen involved in the transaction.   Re: Question re: the bulk discount

(...) This suggests that they may be working out how to handle volume orders, so they have given a code which works well with the current system (this is a similar deal to the buy 10 sets off this page, so the code to work this deal exists already). (...) I would argue that the LARGEST and SMALLEST bricks/tiles/plates are more useful - we can get the "standard" sizes in sets and tubs/buckets in decent amounts, but the very large and very small are scarce. The very large are useful for large (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Not in the same packaging, and not always with the same set number, but I have found several sets which were released in the Kabaya promotion. Specifically, the sets (finding a (...) I was confused about this as well. I explicitly had the operator verify that these trans thin walls are identical to those used in 4561. These are light blue trans-blue thin walls as opposed to the dark blue variety seen in aquanaut and other sets. (...)   Re: Lego Direct Parts Selection

(...) Actually I'm a bit annoyed by the lack of small bricks. In particular I need a ton of 1x1 and 1x2 bricks in Lt. Grey for my Castle sets. Plus I'd like to get some in the other colors for detail work (considering the color selection my wife is (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

THANK YOU for saying something! I got my eToys order last week, and didn't even open it - I ordered 3 sets of roadsigns. Sure enough, there were 3 white sub-boxes in the order, so I only got ONE QUARTER of what I should have! I called, complained, (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Brad, It's good to see you folks being clever about your limited piece selection - not including the smallest bricks probably works out for most of us. (...) Wow, I'm more impressed than I thought I'd be. Pricing is a little whacky on some elements in some colors, but that comes from Lego looking at a grey brick as the same as a red brick since they probably cost them the same to make. I just got my order for 2 sets, and found 2 small plain white boxes. opened one of them and thought it didn't look like 172 pieces. MY thoughts on the whole thing are that TLG just needed to add extra to cover S&H charges, and make it possible to order via S@H USA, or through their web page, for Australia and countries in a similar fix. I find it hard to believe that they're willing to give up the econmies of scale here. How many of us are there? 1000?
