I wouldn't read too much into the colors, as they have varied all over the map in the past, for instance, consider the color shown in the catalog for the mixed blue plate pack, it's way off LEGO blue. The rep (I wish I remembered her name) actually called their warehouse and was told it would be 'quite some time' before the current (read, old color) mosaic kit bags would run out. This (...) (...) These packs have the same SKU as the "old dark gray" bricks. There is no reason to believe that these are not the "old gray".
