Re: Absurd price differences at LEGO Direct

It may be cheap to own a house in SOME places in the US, but others are insane. In my area, unless I'm willing to deal with stray bullets occasionally, the cheapest I will find a 2BR house that doesn't need a TON of work is over $400K, and nearing (...)   Re: Absurd price differences at LEGO Direct

(...) The issue might have to do with taxes. There are no VAT or in most cases sales taxes (for mail order purchases) in the US. I also think corporate income tax is lower. In spite of all the complaining some people do in the US, we have the lowest (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: LEGO Spybotics & LEGO Direct/Shop

(...) I'm also *very* eager to hear some details about these bricks. In response to a few comments which I sent to a fellow who works for LEGO about the MindScript and LASM support I recently added to BricxCC I was told that the spybotic unit would (...)   Absurd price differences at LEGO Direct

In europe (Netherlands) the new Spybotics are listed EUR 90, which equals over USD 90. In the US this same product in the same shop is listed USD 60. A difference of USD 30, one-third of the price! So in effect, since shop.lego.com only allows (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Question about set 7143 Jedi Starfighter.

(...) To be fair to LEGO, the astromech does not have a body but is actually hardwired into the starfighter. (URL) I am glad you like it for what it is.   LEGO Spybotics & LEGO Direct/Shop

Hi :) As most of you might've noticed, the Spybotics line are finally (!!!) available on the LEGO Shop (at least for Portugal, I didn't check it for other countries, sorry). I'm very interested in buying at least one of the possible 4 sets and add (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.robotics)
