I suspect that the reason that no one is really angry is that we are (for
the most part) still pretty happy with being able to order anything at • all.
I know I am.  I suspect that we are dealing with the bugs of a system that
was brought on-line pretty quickly.  Originally Brad Justus stated that • bulk
ordering may be available by the end of the summer.  Since the summer
doesn't actually start until June 21st, I think they are doing pretty well
all things considered.  We are all active participants in a pilot (aka • beta)
project for lack of a better description.

I think some of us are happy with some of the mistakes that TLG made when
setting up the parts service.  For something coming on so quickly, that is
quite an effort.

This morning I called S@H to report the problem with #3444.  The very nice
lady offered to refund my money  (I refused, I can use the low slopes
although I would have prefered medium slopes).  She also mentioned that • the
response to the limited selection far exceeded their expectations.  What
that means I have no idea, just paraphrasing her comment.

Sounds like they had no idea how well it would do, and it would seem that
there is a significant market for these packs.  More significant, perhaps,
than some of the lugnet members thought.  ;-)

I hope they decide to do a greatly expanded selection of parts in the next
release of this service.

Cheers ...

Geoffrey Hyde
