Re: You get to choose! -> IBERIA?

(...) Ok, it´s wonderful. But why Spain and Portugal are off? Lego Direct doesn´t work at all in our countries, and sets heve been added every month... if the home service is launched, I am not going to have enough money to buy Sopwith Camel, Rebel (...)   Re: Legends in stores?

(...) I used to live in Tucson, and I'd always (and still do) get a kick out of people butchering the spelling of that fair city. But a native Arizonian? Tsk tsk Jeremy. I guess I shouldn't be too offended though... you butchered "Phoenix" as (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.loc.us.az)

  Re: Legends in stores?

(...) Matt, I'm with you on this. I too live in AZ, the land where the bricks melt when left outside or in your car, and I'd petition for this. We have 6 mil + in the city of Pheonix alone. If placed in the right place, it would attract peeps from (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.loc.us.az)

  Re: Legends in stores?

(...) I have the funny feeling that where you live gets GREAT sales if you know where to look and wait for the right moment to spring into action. I guess it depends on the population density of your particular town. I find good deals in places that (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  Re: Legends in stores?

(...) Arrgh! Why doesn't Lego set up a direct shop in Arizona? I know they probably have them in California, NY, and near their corporate HQ, but It seems where I live, is the last place to get Lego at a decent price. :( If only Lego released Legend (...)   Re: Legends in stores?

(...) I suppose it is cold comfort if there isn't a Lego outlet store near you, but the Lego store in Anaheim (Downtown Disney, accessible without going into the park) carries the Legend line. They even got in the new Blacksmith Shop this week (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

New colors for old Legends (WAS: legend voting)

(...) Don, I have previously suggested a similar course of action for this set: (URL) this is one of my all time favorite sets, and at the top of my list for a Legends reissue, it frankly looks silly in blue. The vehicle it was based on was not blue (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Legends in stores?

(...) Legends are only available directly from Lego, as you know. The other re-issued Lego sets that ARE available from retailers are not Legends, but are classified as CLASSICS. That distinction seems to make all the difference. So, the re-issued (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Slider solution in the Legends re-release of 6390 (was: Why not a cypress tree ...)

(...) #812 Train Level Crossing Center Rail Cap Insert (see: (URL) part was originaly designed for the level crossings of the 4,5V/12V train system, to fill the gap in the middle in case your layout wasn't electrified with those 12V conducting (...)   sliders (was: Re: Why not a cypress tree in the Legends re-release of 6390?)

Question: If we are changing the sliders, what of the "Legoland Hotel" sign for the top of the building once completed? It was made of the same part.   Re: You get to choose!

(...) Unfortunately, it is no longer available. :-( I ordered a couple right when they came out, and just a few days ago wanted to order a couple more. No luck. That was too short a timespan to re-release this set, in my opinion. Oh well. We could (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

  Legends: good or bad?

XPFUT .general <snipped it all> First off, this is XPFUT'd to .general because I'd like to spark an intelligent conversation about the Legends line. I don't want this to turn into some kind of argument or debate. Ben, I can understand your point as (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

Re: Why not a cypress tree in the Legends re-release of 6390?

[snip] (...) Well the real reason (pure speculation, but the only thing that makes sense) is that the current road plates (grey or green) have wider roads and as a result narrower stud areas. Simply put, the original sliding "rails" are too wide. (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Desiring Machine (was Re: You get to choose!)

  Re: You get to choose!

Oh the humanity! Oh the torture! How is one supposed to choose just one? Should I vote on which I would be more likely to buy? (375 Castle), which I would most like to have, but probably can't afford (6285 Black Seas Barracuda), which is most (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Desiring Machine (was Re: You get to choose!)

(...) Amen! I have to agree. And I, for one, have grown up with UFO, town JR, and Insectoids, and believe me, I ain't happy with it! :-) Lego Legends are supposed to be that: legends. I think that if you don't count a set as a legend just because (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)
