Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) My my this is nice. I like all 5 of these packs and will problably get several of each (well maybe not the bushes just for the fact that I have a ton already). Thanks for the 2x2 roof tiles they are a necessary addition to the 2x4 roof tiles (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) I always liked the Cypress Trees, but in my youth never devoted the money to the bulk pack that supplied one -since it was only one tree, and I was a child with no job. I think now is the time to pick up a few. Great offer! "Bushes"? Do you (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) Was that really a rant? I thought of it more as a suggestion, that indeed larger plates are almost always needed when building MOCs, especially larger town buildings and castles, even certain spaceship designs. I agree that if these were (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) Wooo... That would be nice. I find those flowers add to a Town or Castle MOC as much so as the trees. More so, perhaps, since you have the option to remove the petals and just have them represent tall grass or fens-type foliage along streams (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) Or Dark Gray! I'd love to have various 45 degree roof elements available in Dark Gray -it would give me far more options for my possible future MOC of a Civil War ironclad... I think Dark Gray bulk parts in any style would be welcomed for (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Faucets

(...) I am not going to debate this, but this is a language difference. In Australia, UK, and other places, the thing you have over a sink that water comes out of is called a "tap", whereas in the US (and possibly others) it is called a "faucet". (...)   Re: Faucets

(...) like these: (URL)I think you will find they are called taps. I think you will find that the part Rose refers to is a "faucet" when most people talk about it, even if partsref calls it a tap.... it's on a 1x2 modified plate/tile and has a spout (...)   Re: Faucets

(...) No, no, no...it's only a "tap" when it's attached to a beer keg. ;) LFB (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) Bruce, you jest! Forestmen can only run in trees of the 1/2 arch, 6/14 stud foliage, and green vine varieties, right? They should *always* be running, flipping, rolling, and dangling from vines... Don't make me have to come to your place and (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

A forest for my forestmen! Very good! Thanks for listening and making us happy (well, for a day or two). :-) Bruce (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Auction for America update

(Please cross post as is appropriate. Thanks!) Well my goodness... I knew you all liked LEGO stuff, but WOW! The first two rounds of Auction for America auctions on eBay did wonderfully. Thank you so much to everyone who participated! I have some (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Faucets

This wonderful part has resurfaced in the Metroliner and Club Car. How difficult would it be to produce this part in a parts or bulk pack, preferable bulk. This is the second best special part Lego has produced, besides the garage door of course. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) Built on lattice columns 1/3 of which are painted red, 1/3 gray and 1/3 black, but with a shed off to the side that uses the classic rectangular wood doors in grey and black and has ultralow slope roof pieces 1/2 of which are regular gray and (...)   Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

That's exactly what I meant. There's one yellow plates pack, but to get a decent number of big plates you're also buying bucketloads of unwanted stuff... Oh, by the way, please don't limit the big plates department to grey and earth tones. When (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) hehe Hmmm...now, how to convince Jake that he needs a interlocking tower with a dark gray, low sloped roof that has alternating gray, dark gray, and black 1x2x2 classic windows for his train layout..... ;-) -John (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
