Re: The effects of Bulk Sales are evident....

(...) Search for Jason Catena, he did a very sweet summation. It hasn't been as active lately, I think people stopped sending in their suggestions. ++Lar (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) Since i came out of my dark ages almost 2 years ago, I haven't paid MSRP for any non-SW set. As you said, the value for the dollar just isn't there. I echo the sentiment that I'd rather spend on the secondary market than pay full price for (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: LEGOs dirty trick: making money by not producing all masks as announced.

(...) how the quality of the Lego brick is way down. Anyone that has old Lego can put it sid by side with the new ones and can see that there are huge differences in the quality. Here are a few: 1. The old Lego were much brighter and had a better (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: LEGO.com website errors

I was finally able to get into the bulk pages! it's been very hard to get to the Lego site lately, I know you are working on it though! One thing I noticed, all the new items don't show a price? is this an error? or just that we all got excited, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Mac Java Clarification

Here is another useful URL, for the MRJ plugin: (URL) it's included in the current 4.76 distribution too. So, I have tried to run the Brickolizer under the Netscape MRJ plugin with no success. (It is also necessary to spoof the UserAgent string to (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) No, actually it's about the elements for me too. I never even wanted any space stuff until I conceived of Castle Blacktron some months back. So, it's absolutely about the bricks, but price remains important too. The only reason I care about (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) Well, I'll tell you what. What we are talking about here are apple and orange AFOLs. You are the type of AFOL who likes to build and collect *sets*. You pine for the old days when sets "were still good". Me? I am the exact opposite. I look (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) I'd gladly pay a premium price for an unopened older castle set (6071, 6067, 6074, 6086 come to mind) before I pay full or even 70-80% of full retail for the junk they have on the shelves now. I bought my last new sets at 67% off and I barely (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  shop.lego.com woes

Ok, what is up with the S@H site? I can't get past the gateway.asp page at all anymore on any of my browsers sans Netscape 6 and many of us know what a burden on our system that beast is. Navigator 4.08 (latest version of the standalone browser) (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)
