Re: Behind the curtains - LEGO Factory AFOL Project Team

(...) Oh well, I tried. I honestly tried to give it a chance, but seriously, how could I take this whole thing seriously after a post like this? I complain about the way The LEGO Company treats us and all you answer back is that you are working (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LDD v.1.3 Launches; well, not on MY computer

(...) I've had problems with the shortcuts as well. You can create a new one by browsing to the C:\Program Files\LEGO Software\LEGO Digital Designer\ folder, right-clicking on designer.exe, and selecting "Send To..." followed by "Desktop (Create (...)   Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) With all due respect I don't think the color change had much if any real effect on sales. I am no LEGO appologist, actually the change bothers me more and more as time passes but I don't have the time or desire to waist time complaining about (...)   Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

(...) Hmm, I wonder if the newly purchased stores by Sears will have these as well. It was also anounced today the Kmart is buying out Sears, but plans to rename all the existing stores under the Sears brand name. Mat (22 years ago, 19-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Dang. You're right. Thanks James, sarcasm it is definitely! But wouldn't you agree on how ironic the whole situation is? How set sale numbers of LEGO dropped like a stone, despite the wonderful new colors? Well, I suppose bad Knight's Kingdom (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

Hi Jake, could you please ask your colleagues to provide lego numbers? I couldn't decode few of the colors on the LEGO list... (...) I assume color 5, Brick Yellow (Tan in Peeron terminology) (...) Nougat, color 18, looks totally improbable to me. I (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

  One last Spring Cleaning set

D'oh! I completely forgot to post this yesterday (the first day I had clearance to post). On or around 25 November, there will be one last Spring Cleaning set hitting K-Mart. I'm not actually sure of the details, but just that it's coming. Jake --- (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.announce, FTX) !

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Good to have the info. Can't quite seem to find out how to get Peeron to cross reference between the Lego name and "our" name however. I was trying to figure out if what we call tan is on the "keepers" list. JB (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Hi Jake, I would appreciate if you could clarify one item about this list... If I understand correctly, this is a list of colors which we may expect to be present and will not be changed without prior discussion. That much I understand. I (...)   Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Thanks for the list, Jake (and thanks for keeping Billund's feet to the fire!). But I have a few questions: There's no beige on that Peeron list. Are orange, yellow, red, blue, and green the same as "bright orange", "bright yellow", "bright (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

It is nice to see that these colors will require review or discussion if a decision would ever be made to change them in the future. This seems like passing an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution - it can be done but would be hard to do. I like that. (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Well, cool. Personally, I did not expect to see colors like Nougat or Medium Blue on this list. I only expected to see the basics and a few rainbowish colors added like a shade of green and/or purple. But, as a AFOL who has taken a recent (...)   Re: Universal Color List...finally

  Universal Color List...finally

I always hate starting off a conversation with an apology, but I fear I must today. For a number of months, I’ve been working with colleagues to get a final word on our "locked" or "universal" color list. I hate wading back into the color change (...)   Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) This does seem awfully odd. It's still number one, with almost twice as many votes as the next runner-up. And it's a garbage image. But there's nothing in the rules that say you can't have all your friends vote for yours, no matter how (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Behind the curtains - LEGO Factory AFOL Project Team

Great news, Jake! I think this shows a fundamental shift in the LEGO company's attitude toward AFOL's. Prior to this, I think we were perceived as a bunch of mostly harmless weirdos with a lot of time on our hands. But now, it looks like LEGO is (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LEGO BrickMaster Welcome kits now shipping

Hi, Jake! I got mine today, but I have a question. What I received in the mail was simply a plastic baggie containing the special BrickMaster version of the newest LEGO Magazine, a Bionicle comic, the LEGOland ticket, and some other inserts.
