(...) I can't really see allocating 'AxleBlack' as a standard LDraw.org color, since the two shades are an artifact of Lego instructions. But you can easily do this on your own - use the Custom button in MLCAD's color dialog to specify a different (...) (21 years ago, 2-Nov-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.cad)

(...) Tim, Thanks for the kind words. When it came to shading the steps (which is a default in LPub), I decided to go ahead and try it. I've particularly noticed in some of the newer technic sets that black axles and friction pins use a blacker black than other black parts, such as bricks, beams etc. In other words, the standard bricks are a very dark grey whereas the axles seem to (...)
