Yup, I'm aware of the MLCAD custom colours, but there is a good reason for me not wanting to use these unilaterally: with tools such as LPub generating parts list images and inventories, I thought it might make sense to have a commonly (...) (...) I can't really see allocating 'AxleBlack' as a standard LDraw.org color, since the two shades are an artifact of Lego instructions. But you can easily do this on your own - use the Custom button in MLCAD's color dialog to specify a different (...) (21 years ago, 2-Nov-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.cad)

I've particularly noticed in some of the newer technic sets that black axles and friction pins use a blacker black than other black parts, such as bricks, beams etc. In other words, the standard bricks are a very dark grey whereas the axles seem to (...)
