  4709 Hogwart's Castle found.

Well for $90 USD this set was kind of a let down. As a $60 set it would have been good. Lots of good bits in the set. The Knight's head is the same as peeves but the knight has no printing on the torso. It is just plain grey. Harry has a violet cape (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) Well as I see it, or rather read it, HP will not be Disney-esque. That assumes the director does not make a reversal on his position of following the book as closely as possible. HP will be on the fine line between PG and PG-13. LOTR on the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) If this is true this is the first I have heard of it. While there do seem to be some new elements, I am very wary of the arguement that having to make new elements is some kind of deal maker or breaker on set design for TLC -- I have said it (...) (...) I agree. Even a push train. But Dan Parker posted that he had heard that the studio sold the electric train rights to someone else. (25 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.trains)

I'm thinking it's probably because the set had to do *something* to ahve some play value, and this is the best that they could come up with. I think they should have just made it a real (...)   Modifications to Hagrid's Hut - A New Roof

As many of my fellow Lego enthusiasts are, I to am quite unhappy with the roof on the Harry Potter set Hagrid's Hut. So, I spent about an hour or so this evening (well morning actually) designing a new roof for it. While i'm not going to claim that (...)   Re: HP Set reviews....

Here is my only guess as to why the treasure flings out: in the books, the luggage magically transports itself onto the platform and into the castle. The only way I see it, the spring is the "magic" that ejects the luggage all the way into the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

TLC HAD to cut costs on HP sets. think about it: they introduced more new and original elements at one time than they have ever done in the history of lego. And tons of them won't be able to be used for other themes (Hagrid, for example). So with (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)
