  Re: Timelines

(...) I'd like an answer to this as well, Lar! I'll be finished with Chamber of Secrets before sunrise and I'm certain I didn't see a date. Anyone have a page number that proves this? -Dave (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town)

This is old news as I have seen pictures of the sets before around here, but it might be the first official release of pictures. They are coming from the German LEGO catalog for August-January 2001 (well January hardly is 2001 anymore ;) I have kept (...) (23 years ago, 3-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Actually, in the second book, The date is revealed.. the story for the second book takes place around 1991, which means the rest would be the following years. Later! -Jay (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town)

  Re: Timelines

(...) I agree. A British car buff familiar with Ford products may be able to pin it even more accurately because the Weaselys (in book 2) have a Ford Anglia that is referred to as "old" and "rusty" but not "antique". A cursory search in Google seems (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town)

  Re: Timelines

(...) Hmmmmm, I am pretty sure that "Harry Potter" takes place in our times. They have cars and everything. (...) You mention that you aren't sure how the prices on the Sears website compares to the US MSRP; well I'd guess it's about typical for Sears... ~10%-20% above. Hi - FBTB II has a scan from the latest JC Penney catalog that shows the box art for 4707 Hogwart's Castle - and the set guide has the piece counts now listed as well. Tim (URL) (23 years ago, 1-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: New pics of HP sets at Sears of Canada

(...) Thanks for the research guys....most of the harry potter sets do look worth getting... a nice mix of castle / town. If done right, you could have a very lovely looking gothic-style school house... Benjamin Medinets (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)
