LEGO store in Georgia (review)

Well we checked out the new LEGO store at the North Georgia Outlet Mall
(Dawsonville) . It is a pretty cool place for the kids. Lots of nice LEGO
statues, a big train, dinasaur, etc. Some real nice LEGO & Duplo play areas, my
son loved that, even though he has tons of stuff at home (go figure). But as
far as LEGO sets, nothing to exciting to report. They seem to carry the same
stuff that is available at any other retailer. The nice thing is that it seems
that they do have the full retail line. But no rare or hard to find sets. I was
surprised that they didn't have any train stuff, not even the current sets. The
manager did say that they never really know what they will have in stock. So I
plan on checking in regulary, it's only 10 minutes from my house.
Now if you want other LEGO branded stuff such as backpacks, pencils, erasers...
and every kind of keychain you can think of, they have that too. No shirts or
sweat shirts though.
Prices were ok, about the same as you'd find at a Target or TRU. No real
"outlet" bargans, but do those Outlet stores really have any "bargan prices"
Well thats the scoop, its a nice place and definatly worth the visit if you're
in the area, but not worth a road trip from out of state or anything.

ps. i did get a special yellow 2X4 LEGO brick that says October 1999 on it..
ha!! I guess in honor of the opening.

| Well today is the big day, the LEGO Outlet store is opening. My wife is being dispatch there when they open to give me a full report via cell phone of what they have in the store. I really hope it's more than just the same stuff you can get at any (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
