I am seeing a lot of angry folks in LUGNET this week. Rather than
"lighting the torches" just yet, let's let the group letter to KKK (and
Peter Eio) take their course. One thing about the upper management
folks at LEGO is that they are polite, and have replied to letters in
the past. I did mention the rumor about the discontinuance of Service
Pack (right after I brought up the 138 that were available in 1963!).
Am I optimistic? Let's say that I believe in Barker's Law, which
states: "Murphy was an optimist". (For those Europeans who don't know
what this means, Murphy's Law of Physics states: "Anything that can go
wrong, will go wrong.")
Anyway, if we get no satisfaction then I have a few other tricks up my
sleeve (can you say "WSJ"?). But I don't want to divulge anything on
the Internet (they are listening!).
But rather than getting our "collective" blood pressure up any higher,
lets be patient. (I personally have waited 15 years for LEGO parts!)
If no result comes of it, I will be the first to "man the barricades".
I guess I better stop with the cliché!
But let's hold off on any more Letters to LEGO just yet.
Thanks,
Gary Istok

| From what I have hear Lego should be moving in a new direction soon. They have a new individual heading up their web division (not responsible for the recent alterations of lego.com) and I think the marketing folks in general are paying a lot more (...)
