  LEGO article in Delta magazine

Anybody seen the article about LEGO in the Delta in-flight magazine? My brother-in-law just flew back to the states from Canada and said the in-flight magazine had an article about LEGO. He is supposed to give me the one he brought back tomorrow. (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO article in Delta magazine

A new one? Delta a while back had one, it made the cover of the issue. The issue cover border is two rows of yellow studs. Either they followed up, or Canada uses a different pub schedule, or he saw a really old one. (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO article in Delta magazine

(...) Let us know what it says. Interestingly enough I just came across a 1991 Northwest In Flight magazine that had a 3 page article about LEGO and its history, with pictures from the Enfield US Headquarters and an interview with USA LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

Hi Ben, A friend of mine just brought me a TWA in-flight magazine. It did not have an article about LEGO, but listed in the duty free section along with various perfumes and alcoholic beverages was: LEGO Fun Jet- $24 . Does anyone know if this is a (...)   Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

You can see a reference to this set on TWA's web site. (URL) while ago I sent a letter to TWA asking to purchase this set. I received a letter back stating since it was a duty free item the only way to purchase it was in flight. Mike - (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

(...) We just got the one from shop at home, and it mentions something on the box about being made for airlines. I bet it's that set, with specially branding stickers. (25 years ago, 16-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

Matthew Miller wrote in message ... [ ... snipped ... ] (...) It isn't the same set as the one in the S@H catalog. The one from TWA looks like this: (URL) like the fact that it has real windows and a control tower with three inverse sloped (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

I called S@H...they stated that it was cancelled and will no longer be available. Anyone able to purchase this set? -jeremy (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

(...) Oh, very nice. I was fooled by the S@H catalog -- didn't look closely enough, and thought the one there had real windows. Oh well. (25 years ago, 16-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Fun Jet in TWA magazine

Thanks for the info on the set. I would gladly pay the $24 for this one compared to the crummy one at S@H for $19.75 ! Joe (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO article in Delta magazine

(...) Did it mention the LEGO Imagination Center at the Mall of America? The MOA opened in late '91 or early '92, and since Northwest is based in Minneapolis, I am wondering if this is all just a coincidence or if they were promoting the LIC. Steve (25 years ago, 17-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO article in Delta magazine

(...) Well I finally got the magazine from my bro. There was a one page write-up on LEGOLAND, CA as a place to go. Not much new. I did notice in one of the two small pictures, however, that some kids were holding kid-size wolfpack shields. I guess (...) (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO article in Delta magazine

(...) I don't know if anyone ever scanned this article in, but here it is: (URL) can click on the pictures for a better view of the article -- a co-worker cut it out for me; I was showing my Legoland picts off at work & the next day he brought the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
