It's understandable because others, such as the GMLTC have *been* down • that
road and many other roads you don't even know about, only for us they were
dead ends.  No disrespect to you, but IMO if *anyone* should be granted • such
privledges, I would think it would be an organization such as the PNLTC or • the
GMLTC who are ambassadors for the brick to the general public, instead of • to
one guy who now has a really big forest for his home layout and who now • has
more bricks than he can even take out of storage.  I'm not begrudging you, • I'm
just saying that there is *no* process-- you are just one lucky guy.  It's • like
a guy explaining how he chose his winning numbers for a $1,000,000 • lottery--
beside the point, really.

I agree totally.  I got lucky and made the most of it.  It just suprises me
why TLG doesn't support organisations such as PNLTC or GMLTC.  No doubt
members of these groups have made approaches to TLG but why they continue to
ignore the adult market may well remain a mystery for some time yet.

I've impressed upon the SPM of the opportunities for bulk ordering.  He
himself has made mention of his ideas in this area to his former manager who
took up a high ranking management position back in Denmark 6 months ago.
Maybe, just maybe the message may get through.  Only time will tell.

On the other hand perhaps you may have better luck if you did indeed change
your first name to Sanjay.   ;-)

(...) Just like everyone else who has read this and replied, I wish that I could have had an opportunity fomr something like this, and do agree TLG is being very stupid by not offering it as a part of their sales. But, I see absolutely no reason to (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) I don't understand why people are so confused about this. First of all, the (legitimate) bulk ordering market already exists, but it's small and limited to the most commonly needed pieces (simple bricks). You can get 2x4 bricks for about (US) (...) (...) Well, to be perfectly blunt, I'd take bulk in a New Yalk minute. I couldn't care less about LEGO clothes, theme parks, promo sets, sets in general. I've got 10s of thousands of bricks from sets and not one is built. For me, it's all about the (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
