Ouch. *IF* it was superglue that was used, you *might* have some luck by
trying superglue remover. The superglues used in model airplanes are *very*
good, and they have this great product that almost instantly undoes it.
Go to any *good* hobby shop, and they should have some. Take a fig along, they
might even let you try some first if you ask nicely.
