My non-Lego wife and I have running battles about Lego being left around • on
the main floor of our home.  Last week she went on a
business trip, and guess what took over the whole house for a week?

It was great fun!  My 4 yr. old daughter is finally getting into Lego, • building houses with me, and spaceships (I use the term
loosely--she is only 4) all on her own.  I just went through a major • piece
sorting project, and I found that having the buckets of
sorted Lego left out inspired all kinds of creativity.  I have one box • of
black and white 2X bricks, and came home one day to find a
b&w checkered "spaceship" waiting for me.  My son (8) and daughter • collaborated to make a field of flowers using all the flowers we
have.

BTW, I found a great use for all those extra flower tops--stick them • into the
rounded trees at a 45 degree angle for a great
flowering tree.

Alas, all good things must come to an end, and (most) of the Lego has • once
again been banished to the upstairs.  When did you say
that regional conference is, Honey?

Excellent story,  I am in a similar situation with a non-Lego wife • although I
did get her to build a small car (Can't remember the set number but it • comes in
a plastic bag and not a box) so maybe there is still hope.

Unlike yourself I don't have any kids (yet) so I don't have anyone else • to
build with (Unless my 5 year old nephiew visits).  My wife on the other • hand
tollerates Lego on the first floor for brief periods of time.

Remove jawaspam with Dental Floss or toothpicks.

Why don't you guys just keep one room all to yourselves?

Although my girlfriend (not married yet) isn't anti-lego (she keeps asking
me for a small set of pink BASIC bricks, which doesn't exist :) I'm
planning to reserve one
room in our future home all for myself. That way she won't be bothered with
my
addiction.
