(...) Within a given theme, the smaller sets sell better than the larger ones because they're more affordable, but Brian has it right in that long-term production makes a huge difference when many popular sets can sell out in half a year. My guess (...) (15 years ago, 20-May-09, to lugnet.general)

The production rate, and the consumption rate (how well they are selling), is nice, but the number of sets owned in the general public is also a function (...) (...) I would lean towards Star Wars, City, and Bionicle, simply on the basis that those lines are the top sellers for TLG over the past 2-3 years. Top sellers would mean that more production would be focused on the line to replentish sales, and (...) (15 years ago, 19-May-09, to lugnet.general)
