New Christmas Train - Horseshoe Bend Rail Road

I thought it would be a good idea to make my father-in-law a Christmas Train for his tree after he hinted that one sure would be cool, last year. So I built this one: (URL). It turned into a rather large project figuring I would need directions for (...) (19 years ago, 14-Dec-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, FTX) !!

  Mosaic for ASH Tradeshow

Admittedly, I did far few LEGO projects this past year (this was purposeful, actually), but I did finish the year by constructing a 7'x10' mosaic for a recent tradeshow in Atlanta.   Re: A Disappointed Lego Set

(...) The Advent Calendar set this year is definitely different, in that there are no printed step-by-step instructions for each day's model, only a picture of what the model is supposed to look like when complete. And there is no additional (...) (19 years ago, 13-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Joke of the Day

This morning I was deep asleep, peacefully dreaming of building a huge 3D Christmas tree out of Legos (of course!). My wife gently whispered in my ear, "It's time to get up!"   A Disappointed Lego Set

Dear Lego Company, I am writing to express our disappointment about this year's new set, 7324, LEGO City Advent Calendar. As our kids have been playing with Lego toys for more than 8 years and based on the number of Lego sets we have purchased (...) (19 years ago, 13-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) I USED to be. When Spider-Man came out, I thought it was sort of, well, WRONG looking. But after drawing all the AFOLs comic, and having a main character "bald," it all seems normal to me. Cheer up, emo kid. There's no reason you should be hinging all that on whether or not you got responses for a given MOC. If number of responses is the only way you measure your model's worth, maybe you should try harder to be impressive. Also, (...) (19 years ago, 11-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

Having seen the shear amount of creativity that is being put in to MOC's, I consider these to be a form of art. So, as long as the baldness is fuctional, I have no problem with it :-) With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO brickpedia options

(...) Actually, Brand Retail gave me the idea and I taped those bricks on the boxes. This is how the stores keep track of what is in all those uniform brown Pick-A-Brick boxes. Imagine that. I taught the master builders something. Doug (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)
