Hi Rob,

Thanks for posting this - it defiantely helped.
After installing Thunderbird, I was able to find what the problem appeared
to be and it is now fixed.

It's all related to the fact that all the entries in the RSS feed
essentially go back to the same page on LEGOFan (as we don't have an
individual page for each item on sale, but one overview page of all the
items). It seems that Thunderbird (and possibly some other readers) treat
all the entries as being identical and only show the first one.

As I say I have managed to convince Thunderbird that in fact each entry is
different.

By the way Thunderbird has an annoying/or cool feature (depending on your
point of view) when you subscribe to an RSS feed.
Ny default, instead of showing your the specific article in the RSS feed -
in our case the item picture, old/new price etc, it will instead take you
straight to the target web page.
If you don't want to do that, you can check the checkbox 'Show the article
summary instead of loading the web page' and that will show the contents of
the RSS feed rather than the specific webpage.

Hope it helps, I certainly learned something today!
Richard.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for posting about RSS here - we're currently working on an RSS
overview article for LEGOFan.org, but yours is a good quick introduction.

I am a little confused over the PS in your posting though:

{PS - Joe the feed is fairly ugly, it just has the set name and a link
to
brickset, no info on what the price was, what it is now, etc. Also the
title of
the feed is messed up, using one of the sets instead of a generic
overall
vision. Oh, and each set is it's own post.}

The feed has the old and new prices in the description of the message.
The
title of each entry in the feed is the set number and name only.
Here is what the feed looks like in my RSS reader - 'Feedreader'
http://www.legofan.org/images/rjmorton/rssFeed.gif
- which is exactly what it was designed to look like. Are you seeing
something different in your reader?

Richard.

I think I'm seeing what Jason is seeing:

Using Thunderbird, and feed URL
http://www.legofan.org/RSSFeeds/WeeklySpecials/WeeklySpecialsUS.aspx
I see only one article, subject:  671F - antenna Pack For Outdoor Racer

The body of the article is the page http://www.legofan.org/weeklyspecials/
in
its entirety.
