Re: 1955 'idea book' Byggebog, translation help needed

(...) I'm of absolutely no use in helping translate, but I just had to say thank you for posting this wonderful bit of history. The artwork (as much as the bricks) is what I really love about the pre-1970s LEGO ads and package inserts/instructions. (...) (19 years ago, 20-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: 1955 'idea book' Byggebog, translation help needed

(...) Awsome is the word! Quick n dirty translation: 1. "LEGO mursten" ~ "LEGO Building Brick" "BYGGEBOK" = "Building Book" 2. "Her er..." = "Here all the single LEGO separate parts are" 3. "Med LEGO man bygger" = "With LEGO one builds, plays and (...) (19 years ago, 20-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: 1955 'idea book' Byggebog, translation help needed

(...) Awesome Dave! By viewing all of the Lego parts on Page 2, (for (...) (19 years ago, 19-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

I am told 'Byggebog' means "building book" or "manual for constructions" The book doesn't have any date on it, but, according to Gary Istok, it dates from 1955 when the (...)   Re: Coolest LEGO Experience?

(...) Two, recent moments: 1) Attending Celebration III (a Star Wars convention) as a member of an ISD speed-build team with my 7-yr-old son Ben. In under 24 hours we built three ISD (two on Saturday with only a couple of hours inbetween), with a (...) (19 years ago, 19-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)
