  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) That's probably the one. If so, I retract my general hate for it. It's handy (in transparent) but I hate opaque versions. Tim (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) Do you mean [LDrawPart 30151:46]? That part started out as a cover for treasure in the Adventurers; its hollowness is an important aspect of the part. Steve (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) Oooh. Fun game... I discovered a new piece just last night which I already hate. Don't own any or know what it's called (2x2 tall dome?) but it is a single part which could be made from a 2x2 round with a 2x2 dome on top. I can see absolutely (...)   Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) I really dislike the basketball net. I wish it could connect in some way to more than one piece. It would be useful for numerous things if onlt it could be connected better. For that matter I dislike nearly all of the specialty sports parts. (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) You don't like headlight bricks? o.0 Wow. I never thought I'd hear someone say they disliked one of the most useful and beloved pieces out there. The piece I "hate" (its more of a love/hate relationship) is the old technic ball socket: (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Overview of LEGO Factory suggestions

(...) Hundreds of dollars is what it should cost. What it would actually cost under the current LF system, even if the parts were available at all, would probably be thousands of dollars. I'm seeing about a factor of 25 waste here on realistic (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) That must be that darn nylon hinge: (URL) I remember as a child always battling with this - it fell off when it was supposed to stick, and it stuck when I was trying to remove it (hence all the teeth-marks). With regards to the wheels with (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

  Lego Parts You Hate....

I didn't want to bury this thread under lugnet.parts.... so I put it in lugnet.general... We all have Lego parts that we really like..... But what parts don't you like at all.... what parts do you really dislike? (Yes I know it sounds like Lego (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) -snip- (...) -snip- EXAMPLE: Food for thought Like how much would something like this cost? (URL) Fantastic Town creations by: jdavis Just the price alone for the real model if broken down in retail terms would be emense! I do wonder how it (...)   Re: Box scans of 320 Twin Engine Plane

(...) Dave, I checked my 320 box and mine says 123 Piece on both ends. I also noticed that my box says 320:270, where yours says 320 only. I've noticed this second number on many (most) Model Maker sets but I don't know what it means, or which style (...) (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LF Yard Tower

(...) Yes, something like that is needed, though I think there are other possible ways to handle the UI. For example, it's already showing us an "available" count below each piece — the problem is that this count does not correspond to the actual (...) (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LF Yard Tower

(...) This brings up a good point. I've not tried the software yet, but it seems like it ought to work like this... Selecting a piece for a model not only results in the piece being shown in the model, but results in all of the "extra" pieces from (...) (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Box scans of 320 Twin Engine Plane

(...) Dave, Not surprised! There are a lot of "anomalies" to be found in 50's and 60's Lego. Some versions of the #236 Garage set show a garage with 1 1x6x2 (3 pane) window for the garage on the side of the box, and the end flaps show 3 1x2x1 (...) (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

Box scans of 320 Twin Engine Plane

I recently submitted box scans of this set to Peeron, they'll probably be available in a couple of hours. The two end flaps of the box list DIFFERENT piece counts, one say 123 (like the rest of the box), the other says 124. I wonder if this is a (...) (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

  Set comparision 330 vs 217

At first I thought these two sets were pretty much identical, much like other sets with a European number and a US number. Well I did an inventory of both for Peeron (scans are also now in PICSL) Now I see how different they are. 1. 217 had 6 (...) (19 years ago, 28-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

Lego Frisbee. Was: Re: What is this thing?

(...) Thanks, so we've established that it's a collapsible frisbee. Now, does anybody have further information on Lego frisbees? When and how were they issued? (The flea market I found this one at was in Germany, btw.) I received another e-mail from (...) (19 years ago, 28-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

LDD 1.3 - get it while you can

If you uninstalled LDD 1.3 and want to get it back: (URL) I can't seem to get it to work with 1.4 installed. Worked fine after I uninstalled both and started from scratch. Ahh... missed that "all bricks, any color" palette. Marc Nelson Jr. (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 28-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LF Yard Tower

(...) Also notice that you get almost 2000 pieces but you only use about 1/8th of them. I think LEGO would do good to make more bags of less pieces. -Orion (19 years ago, 27-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

  LF Yard Tower

Took a crack at this, converted my yard tower design (as found in the Virtual LEGO book) as closely as I could (within reason, I switched to medium slope roof bricks since low slopes in a well rounded assortment in any earth tone are rare in that (...)   AFOL Web Developers! (was Re: LEGO Developer's Guild)

Ok, I promise I'm not trying to win the prize for the oldest thread resurrected :) But when we were at Brickfest a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that many of the conversations that I was involved with were about code, and websites, and how to make (...)
