The talk to build ratio in this thread seems kinda high... lots of talk, not much building!

You’re a fine one to comment on build/noise ratio ;) Pillar of the community and all.

I’m ALWAYS building. Everyday. Even if I just tool around with some minifigs, I have to build or I’ll get irritable. I need to have a project in mind or I’ll feel lost. I’m sick about it. When I get an idea its always in the back of my mind. Sitting in a meeting, doing an experiment, dinner with my wife-- something in my head is wondering what piece I’ll need to do this thing or that thing. How did that other builder do it?

If I’m of a mood to build in a particular theme, it drives my other interests. If I want to build castle, suddenly I want to rent castle films, read fantasy books, or rent fantasy video games. I totally envelope myself in whatever it is that I’m thinking of building. I’ll spend every free minute at work pouring over the work of other builders or I’ll do constant google searches for inspirational pictures.

Then I get all excited about it and want to talk about it. But my wife and friends are pretty tired of it at this point. So I come here, or one of the other forums and talk to like minded individuals.

Tell me I’m not the only one like this. Is anyone else out there bordering on OCD with LEGO like me?

Felix

I think this is a cunning scheme to raise the number of posts in .aquazone... ; )

Speaking of Castle, when was your last castle MOC? I used to follow your work with a lot of attention : )

God Bless,

Nathan (who is always mulling his next creation).

I've had some ideas but they were shelved when HoB came along; my focus went all space. Jason Spears' layout at HoB was gorgeous. It (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)
