Hey gang,

On May 9th, LEGO had an exhibit at the National Trust for Historic
Preservation Conference.  Jeff Stabile and I had the honor of being asked to
help out with this exhibit.  LEGO was receiving an award celebrating the 50th
year of the system of play that started with the Town set seen here:

A picture of the actual award can be seen here:

of LEGO (This picture provided by LEGO's PR group):

Jeff and I had a lot of fun manning the exhibit and answering all the various
LEGO questions that one gets at an event :)  We weren't given alot of prep time
before the event, but we managed to fill a 6'x2' table with two main street
scenes:

Jeff built his in mini-land scale:

I built mine in mini-fig scale:

Note:
The pictures that are labeled Lego# were taken and provided by the LEGO PR
group.  The rest of the pictures labeled pic# were taken by me.

(...) Hey, great job guys! Looks like it was a lot of fun. I am a huge fan of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the wonderful work they do! Lego and architecture go hand in hand. I am even working on a mini-fig version of an old (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.events)
