Re: Good bye for now and special thanks

(...) Hi Joe, We'll have to wait how things will work out, but if it's possible I'll try to drop a line sometimes. We still have our little plan, which hopefully will surprise and stimulate people. ;) I'm honored and excited that you've chosen me (...) (...) Thanks Scott, I'll do my best to make both TLC and AFOLs happy. If they give me an e-mail account, I'll probably let you know (if that's allowed) Nate (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, lugnet.people, FTX)

Good bye for now and special thanks

Hi, This will probably be my last post for a while, because in a week I'll be moving to LEGO Denmark to help developing things for next year. I hope to design a great model in return for all your supporting and helping comments for the past few (...)   Re: Selling someone else's work on Ebay

Ok, I wanna chime in here--in a nutshell, I can find faults with both of ya. (...) Ok, When I was in college (circa 1997), we wanted to use some trademarks, but without paying a licensing fee (T-shirt sales for a scholarship). We were told by the (...)   Comparing Globes

(...) So based on your argument, both of these globes (URL) must be derived from this (10 year old) version (URL) because the 4 corners of the earth are clearly in the same location? Hmmm, I'm not completely convinced. However, I do admit the globe (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Selling someone else's work on Ebay

(...) Agreed. (...) I gotta disagree with this - Yes, if you were painting a globe on a spherical ball, then I would agree. But you're using Lego and imposing a rectilinear pattern onto a spherical object. So, you're going to have 4 flat "faces" (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Dark purple, blue violet, sky blue, and dark green (Re: My collection of colours)

(...) Now what you need Henry are the Cellulose Acetate colors (1958-63): red (looks red-orange), yellow (a Chiffon yellow), blue (a brighter blue). The CA colors for white, black and gray are so close to the ABS versions, they would be hard to tell (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Selling someone else's work on Ebay

(...) Don't forget that - the map of the earth is quite static, it's the same for us all - the way to produce circles and spheres with Lego have been published many times. Taking this in consideration, it would be quite difficult to produce two (...) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

  3 versions of 30361 2x2x2 Robot Body

I haven't seen it noted anywhere before, but there seem to be 3 different molds used to make functionally different versions of this part, the 2x2x2 round robot body (R2-D2 body): (URL) The difference is in how the center hole at the bottom of the (...)
