What the Heck is this (didn’t want to use “heck”)? I just checked out that
site, and it looks like a site where “raunchy Lego talk” takes place. The
discussion about putting ones mouth to..... well I won’t say it here, but
it does mention reproductive organs. Is this where raunchy people who have
been kicked off of Lugnet go? Or am I missing sothething?

Um, I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Granted, I only did
a cursory look-see at the forum, and maybe you clicked on something I
hadn’t, but FBTB has always prided itself on being kid-friendly as far as I
remember.
We shouldn’t give them any more grief, though. In case you hadn’t heard, the
FBTB forum was hacked by some amateur who probably exploited that one
weakness in old PHP code. And now it looks like they’ve got a lot of lost
data.
On the other hand, from the way you’re acting so scandalized, it’s gotta be
pretty awful. Anyone from there wanna shed some light on this? Or better
yet, Gary, give us a non-work-safe link?
I was only trying to help that Adam kid. Even if there was a bit of ulterior
motive of keeping his dirty feet off my freshly-vacuumed LUGNet.

Kevin, I got weird messages when I visited the temporary site that you
referenced. The “NEWS” line (which initially says “Sign the Guestbook”)
changes every few seconds to some pretty raunchy lines of text (Afro-Whores,
shaving buttocks, etc). That was as far as I went in checking out the
website.

Huh, I didn’t even notice that news ticker thing until you pointed it out to me.
I recognize a lot of these quotes, just not the raunchy ones. So I Googled them.
Here’s what I found:
Sign the Guestbook (Links to the guestbook thread)

The Ladykillers)

“2:00 ‘Afro Whores’, 3:30 ‘Afro Whores’, 5:00 ‘Afro Whores’... It says in the
morning you watched ‘The Grinch’ for ten minutes, then switched back to ‘Afro
Whores.‘” (Again ostensibly from Rat Race)
“Kate, it’s time for you to put your mouth where our balls are.” (From
Dodgeball, it says)
“Can you keep a secret? I’m trying to organize a prison break. We have to
first get out of this bar, then the hotel, then the city, and then the country.
Are you in or you out?” (From Lost in
Translation)
“Well, I have all your equipment in my locker. You should probably come get
it cause I can’t fit my nunchucks in there anymore.” (This is a
Napoleon Dynamite quote.)
“Except... we’re both wearing sailor hats. Then we get into a jacuzzi filled
with Pepto-Bismol, I clip your toenails, and you shave my buttocks.” (This is
also from Rat Race)
“Napoleon, don’t be jealous that I’ve been chatting online with babes all
day. Besides, we both know that I’m training to be a cage fighter.” (Another
Napoleon Dynamite quote)
“I spent like three hours shading the upper lip.” (Another Napoleon Dynamite
quote)
“Too bad, she said she doesn’t want you here when she gets back because
you’ve been ruining everybody’s lives and eating all our steak.” (Another
Napoleon Dynamite quote)
So, I guess they just like some dumb movies. In any case, I agree with you that
some of these quotes are rather inappropriate. They may be very funny
in-context, I can’t say, but putting them up on a supposedly “kid-friendly” site
like that seems kinda tasteless. But, on the other hand, it’s not my site, and
therefore not my call.
From what I can see, Collin Harvey (NOSPAMchalcyon at NOSPAMmac dot comNOSPAM)
and Mike Crowley (countblockulaNOSPAM at gmailNOSPAM dot NOSPAMcom) are the head
honchos over there, send ‘em an email and tell them what you think.
