Probably because they were uploaded to the gallery, where scans do not belong.
Posting scans of instructions or idea books to personal galleries are against
the TOS.

I was looking thru Brickshelf, and I noticed that the scans for Lego Book #239 were missing (this (...) (20 years ago, 13-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)
