  Event Kit update!

All, Just a quick note about the event kits. We have received a very positive reaction to them, and we are sending out quite a few. We still have enough left that I would like to make sure that if you want one for your club or group, you act (...)   Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

Check completed eBay sales for 7130, the Snowspeeder. It goes from $30 to $50. One sold on 9/9 for $80. Wow.   Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) I'm not a seller, but I would guess no. It seems like an easy way to get shafted. For instance, the Stormtrooper minifig was only in one set, and ran for higher prices, then it came out in a storyteller for less, and a few months later you (...)   Items I'm donating to the 2003 Echo Base Charity Con

I was contacted by a Dutch Star Wars fan club, the Echo Base Foundation about possibly donating some MOCs to their charity con later this month. This year, the Make a Wish Foundation will be the beneficiary of all profits generated by the event. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) O yes we do, don't worry. Burnt my fingers on this issue many times when I was in the USA in 2001 ;) I just meant that a 2 hour drive isn't something that's impossible to overcome. Right now I drive over 400 miles most friday nights just to go (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

Yeah, but you get to skip most of the Bay Area by taking 5 - normally, at least the first hour of my trip to LLC from Sunnyvale was just getting to 152 to get to 5. Sometimes 2 hours. Once I made it to 5, I flew - made it in 5.5 hours once, from my (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) Yep, I was surprised when it was mentioned in the other thread they are opening one in Glendale. Why not Northern California? Assuming Tom lived somewhere around San Jose that would make my distance from LLC over 500 miles. And having to drive (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) Yeah, I hear that. I hope they eventually put a LEGO store in King of Prussia Mall or Franklin Mills Mall. Those two are up there pretty high on list of the largest malls on the East coast. (...) Yeah that has been a recurring dream of mine (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)
