If you have purchased Lego® bricks from any other source other than sets or
Bricklink you will likely have at lease a few off brand bricks in your
collection.
Your best bet and the one that will keep you sane is to just keep an eye out
for clones when you are building. They are fairly easy to spot.
I tend to find a lot of Tyco in my black since they are so close in color and
quality that you wouldn't catch them in a basic sort. Long story short if you
want to go searching through your entire collection I would start with the
black.
