Unfortunately I do not know the material of K'nex.  But thanks for your
suggestion, and I will make a search on 3M.

(...) I just looked it up and they're made ABS and "Celcon", which is an Acetal. I have no idea what properties Acetals have, but ABS is the same type of material used for the basic hard opaque LEGO pieces. That being the case, you can go a cheaper (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jun-03, to lugnet.general)
