  Re: BBC News Item...

The only question I have regarding this story is what the heck is 'feminist metaphysics', and how is it different from the regular kind? Allister (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Maximum Wheels + Robobots = Transformer!

(...) Hi Bas, Glad you liked it!!! I spent a lot of time in my youth playing with Transformers (though not as much as with LEGO) and I guess a little of the Transformers "feel" is buried in my brain somewhere. Thanks for the comments!   Re: Lego Helps Hospitalized Child

(...) Hi Eric- When I was 8, I spent 16 days hospitalized with pneumonia as a reaction to a ruptured appendix. LEGO was not available yet in the US and I had never heard of it. It would have been perfect! Fortunately, an uncle bought me a Tom Swift (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Maximum Wheels + Robobots = Transformer!

Hi Andrew, (...) Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like it. I remember you mentioned you were interested in transformers at the last GardenSLUG meeting. (...) I think it would be awesome if a bunch of folks (in our club and/or beyond) all came (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

Sheer beauty... That's my comment. Transforming things rule! Besides that, you captured the Transformer "feeling" well. I like the robusteness of the car mode, and (unlike many transformers) the elegance of the robot. It somehow seems finished, (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

My 5 minutes of fame on HGTV!

Hey all, Synchronize your swatches! My 5-minute spot about me and my Lego collection on "Ultimate Collectors" for the Home & Garden Channel will air this coming Saturday, May 24th, at 6pm EST. I don't have cable, and don't watch any TV for that (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Virus Warning

(...) There's a few going round that claim to be Microsoft updates. There's also a cunning one that pretends to be an undeliverable message (rather than a message sent back to you because the sender spoofed your address). The attachment, which looks (...)   Re: Lego Helps Hospitalized Child

That's so good! Here's a smiliar story: (URL) the link seems to be dead now, it was about a boy in the same position and the parents bought him more and more LEGO. Though they quickly ran out of large sets so they called TLC and asked what their (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BBC News Item...

(...) It's not just another Lego creation, and not just another Mac. It's simply a piece of art! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. -Dave (22 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BBC News Item...

(...) Anyone in to computers would normally start a debate! But, being as I work w/, teach, study, and am a consultant of computers. I would have to admit there is no such thing as a bad computer... each type has it's purpose just like each piece (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.general)
