It's very rewarding.
It's a shame on such a nice feature and an award that has been something to
honour for so long. But what can you do? It takes time to do the research
before you vote. The voting in itself does not take long, but perhaps more
people would vote if you only could elect a "winner" instead of ranking the
lot? This way you only need to decide which of the sites you want as CLSotW and
not who should come in third or fourth place. AFAIK those postitions does not
mean anything to anyone, but perhaps Todd have a use of the statistics for
selecting which sites should no longer should be in the poll?
It could also be open for the public? Membership on LUGNET comes cheap, all it
takes are a few $ and time. But is voting in CLSotW really a member feature?
You're basically doing a job for the community and the award by voting, is that
a feature? I don't know if people will become members to vote in CLSotW or if
it's even a benefit of being a member.
Still, this is Todd's award and he decides what to do with it. I'm only writing
the reviews :)
