By replying, you tell them that you have a live e-mail address, at which
point they put it into their "known live" list, either for further use or
for resale to other spammers (1). Either way, you'd be in for a helluva lot
more garbage.

1. Even if you ask to have your e-mail address removed, always assume it's
more profitable for them to continue using your address and introduce you to
another spammer, 'cuz it is.
