Evan, Was Geordan's parcel sent via registered mail? I'm trying to find out this same question. Is there any need to send something registered if all the post office can do is tell you it's lost when it never shows up! I already new my package was (...) (...) What you are getting with Registered mail is that the item is shipped in a locked container. This means only postal employees ever have any chance of handling it. (...) That is true, but there is more to it than just that. I just called the local postmaster to confirm my understanding about how 'registered' mail is handled. I have had a similar problem, I sent a parcel to the states (sry, cant remember to whom, please come forward, Jason or Robert or Chad?) with some train sets. I requested a search for it, but they didt seem entusiastic about it. The happy ending is (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.general)
