Why I love Lugnet

Because new members are constantly being added to Lugnet, and many more
people lurking deciding whether or not they want to join; I thought I would
take just a second to share my feelings on why I love Lugnet.
First off Lugnet is more than simply a newsgroup, or a forum, it is a
community, in some cases a close-knit group. It brings together some of the
most creative and talented people I have ever met. It truly inspires many
to achieve loftier goals. It gives many people a chance to physically
mingle with others who share their love for this medium of expression,
through local user groups. It often gives people an avenue to vent
unrelated frustrations they are experiencing in their lives. For all these
reasons and more I love Lugnet. I love being part of something so great. I
love being able to see creations in themes and styles that are very
different from my own personal interests. I love being able to see some of
the most remarkable things ever created by little plastic bricks (for
examples see Henry Lim’s stegosaurus

create).
If you are viewing this post as a guest and considering joining, let me
encourage you to do so, you will not regret becoming a part of this
community. If you are already a part of this group I would encourage you to
remember how great Lugnet really is and how alienated you would be if you
were the only person you knew who still enjoyed Legos. I think it was the
receipt of a “bouquet” of Lego flowers from Todd and Suzanne that reminded
me how much of a family this group can be; this can also be displayed by the
great concern shown toward members of our group on the east coast during the
attacks of September 11th. Thank you Todd and Suzanne for creating this
wonderful website where “birds of a feather” can mingle. Finally Thank all
of you who contribute to making this community so great.

| I too would like to second that motion! There are many reasons to love LUGNET but what I see is the catalyst it has been for growing peoples passions about LEGO (sometime to almost loveling unbearable levels) <grin>.
