I've received a few e-mails like this too. Don't these people know we build for
fun?

Anyways, thanks for sharin'!

BTW the $500 payment for instructions is funny too. ;-)

Yeah espeically when another top notch builder (yourself) is giving them
away for free!

Hi Everyone,

Here's the funniest email I have received this week.

xxxxxxxxxxxx@aol.com wrote:
Mark, I have to say your models are the finest creations I've ever seen.I am
what you might call a logo fenatic,

(Ok, compliments are nice)

I just love LEGOs.
Oh sorry I haven't introduced myself, I am Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx,
and I have a proposition for you. Did you know you
could make thousands of dollars just by selling your model ideas
to the lego company and just imagine seeing one of your models in a box on a
shelf in a toy store.

(Wow, I wasn't aware of that! Considering this email came from aol.com and
not lego.com , I'm wondering how this person has the power to offer me money
from The LEGO Company. ;^)  )

Well, anyway your models, especially your Spacecraft
had me thinking. could you perhaps sell me one of your models or at least
instructions on how to build one of them

(Whoops! There's the request for a model or instructions!)

I'm prepared to pay up to 500 dollars on one.
I'll give you time to think about that

He hasn't written back to tell me which model he wants to give me $500.00
for. Maybe he wasn't interested after all. I've had plenty of time to think
about it, however. :^)

Stay Tuned for next week's exciting episode.
