To All,

Well, the skeptic in me is alerting myself, but those boxes sure look real,
I for one would love to see old sets come out. And I do hope that everyone
has access to these sets, not because I want people to be greedy or
whatever, but I think it would be good for everyone in the world to have the
same access. I would hope that one day, the website would offer everyone the
same access. Anyway...

The older the set, the less likely they still have the means of production.
I mean all the components to make a set: stickers, boxes, different
packaging, the print method or templates for the parts, etc. I can see sets
from 1994 and so on, but what about sets from 1982? Would they substitute
parts that have been either redesigned or redone in some way, such as the
heads of minifigs? There are a lot of steps to do this, but it would be
great to see, I hope to see a lot of different themes redone:

BASIC Sets:

Sets like 725 (Curved windows!) : )

Town:
Monorail 6399 and accessory tracks
Launch Command
Nautica Sets
Paradisa sets
Police / Fire Station sets with garage doors 6385, etc.
Some decent fire engines

Train:
Some of the train sets - Diner car, blue hopper, etc.

Space:
Futuron Line!! : )
Blacktron 1 & 2
Space Police 1 & 2
MCM! - M-Tron
6991 Monorail, Unitron Monorail and accessory track
Galaxy Explorer, some old classic space sets, if they can.

TECHNIC:
Space Shuttle / That Black super car?

I am sure the TECHNIC heads would love to see some others, I don't know off
hand, I am a casual TECHNIC user.

I know the castle and pirate people have their own lists as well, I am not
either of those.

I hope this will be a profitable venture they are taking, and I hope the
selection expands. It is a good sign, IMHO.

Scott "Yes, Lynn, I have that set already, but I need more!!!!" ; )

(...) You seem very assertive about these statements, Arnold. Does the Brickhead have inside information? How do you know this is so? I ask because if you are correct, the advent of this new line is momentous for both TLC and AFOL alike -- AND it is (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.general)
