Between approx. 22:30 BST on Wednesday and 17:00 on Friday, 192 online
orders were placed at S@H Europe. This is based on my order numbers.

Note, very importantly, that the online order numbering
   system and the telephone order numbering system differ;
online is "X00018nnn0000" and online has been "P002nnnn".
I did my ordering, and proxy ordering, by telephone; in
part this was to scoop up a few items that I wanted but
that the website showed as being "no longer available"
(e.g., 5200 signal masts, which I managed to get the last
4 of--and which I'd been wanting for almost five years
   to build decent seaplane decks).

Given that many people will have made more than one order, like me, I
reckon there's about 100-150 people who've shown enough interest to
order, and that includes anyone ordering other stuff as well.

Hardly the opening of the floodgates.

Again, remember that the phone orders must be taken into
account (but also that the orders of both types include
"normal" orders, to be fair); by my indications, in the
27 hours between 3pm GMT Thursday and 7pm GMT Friday,
163 phone orders (at least) were taken, if the numbering
system above is standard.  (I account for four of those.)

It may also be that each numbering system is recalibrated
based on the originating country, but I don't know, as
all of my orders have been based out of the Netherlands.

On the other hand, if there was enough stock to last the week out, more
of the less savvy people would see what was there & possibly have a go.

A few things probably will last the week--there have been
just a few hot-button items that people have been wanting
for a long, long, LONG time, and they quite naturally have
gone crazy at the chance to get their hands on these items
   at *any* price.
