Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

The teaser trailer for the Harry Potter movie was posted at (URL) . Lego train fans note that there is a shot of the Hogwarts Express train on the web site and the trailer contains a few scenes with the train. If Lego plans on releasing a Hogwarts (...)   Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Awesome!! I can't wait to see if Lego does the train. Lego, if your listening, please make it a 9v train, please! No Timetwisters stuff or whatever that set was. (24 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) I think that if lego is smart they wont do a 9v train set. If they really want to get the most sales out of it they will do it as a set that uses the train wheel pieces and such but doesnt come with track, motor etc (to keep costs down) and (...)   Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Let me clarify. What I meant was, I hope they do a train, and I hope that it runs on 9v track. Not that it has to have track in the set with it, etc. Not every set that Lego has produced has had power pack, etc., in it. Just that it does run (...)   Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) I agree. I try to model British steam trains, and I'd love something like this - particularly without the cost of more track and another controller! One issue - perhaps someone knows the answer - is the Lego Harry Potter series licensed from (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) It is licensed from the movie. However, that is no guarantee we will see a true-to-form steam engine. For example, just look at the baby dinos for the Jurassic Park III license! Jeff (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) lol What is interesting about this engine is that it closely resembles James from TtTE, which my son and I have already modeled: (URL) appears that a few modifications and one would have the Hogwarts Express engine... lol I was curious to see (...)   Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Thanks Mike! I was having trouble getting there with the other links posted. Looks like a GREAT film. I REALLY got the feel of the book just from this trailer. I can't wait for #3 and #4 to come out in paperback so I can read them, and NOW I (...) (24 years ago, 5-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Potter (...) I'll try the link as well, I too was having a heck of a time getting through on the other links. BTW, books 3 and 4 are even better than 1 and 2!! I didn't want to buy them either until they came out in paperback but recently got (...) (24 years ago, 5-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Whoo-hoo!!! Awesome! It's gonna take every ounce of patience I can muster to avoid going crazy while I wait for November 16th!!! Forgive me, please, but I'm more eager to see the movie than the Lego sets! However, its not by all that great a (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Just to let you know, you have an interesting view point. I am clearly not a big fan of Belville (I guess its a girl thing...hmmm..????) I do have some Paradisa sets...I really like the contrast in colours versus the usually normal town sets. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) yes...well have the engine car large enough to stick a motor on it, but nice enough that it would still look nice if you decided not to go the 9V route!! (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)
