Just out of curiosity, has anyone else got the impression that
the UFO's that were withdrawn this year might have completely
flopped saleswise?
I've seen tons of the two biggest
UFO's going cheap. At the most extreme, Toys R Us had the
second biggest UFO reduced from £42 to £15 a couple of weeks
_before_ Xmas - not the time of year you want to be reducing
the price of anything that's had half-decent sales.
I just can't help wondering. And if UFO sales are really poor, is
the same thing going to happen to the Insectoids, who are presumably
aimed at the same sort of market? (Not that I'm objecting - I regarded
both series as the worst I'd seen from Lego for years)

| I saw the same thing on the UFO sets, but it has been two model years for the sets (At least in the US), and usually, some retailers mark them down if they stay on the shelves. I thought the UFO's were decent (They had some great parts!) but the (...) (26 years ago, 15-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)
